Merry Xmas and thanks to coaching staff and helpers
So 2006 ends with some mulled wine and lots of good memories. Let me list a few, these are things that I have spotted over the past few weeks.
- Truly amazing rugby by both forwards and backs
- Some not so amazing rugby. If this were an Asterix cartoon book then an exact quote from Frazer would be “@##$! *%%#@! C’mon boys……. %^&”£ grrrrr better……….. Oi!” I think the message was heard and the Bs came onto do some business
- Horizontal rain and a steam roller cup performance.
- A certain Mr. Zed running like a steam train down the wings
- 3 or 4 boys really showing that they can charge through like Rhinos. (These would be forwards that are big, fit and fast)
- Great commitment from coaches, some nice training techniques from (Paul and Brian).
- One or two boys turning up to training at 11am……. “Shhhhh, just run around the pitch and then join in…. no one will notice……” Ahem – I did notice.
- Some boys starting to notice that they have leadership qualities… when they talk, others listen and when they encourage other team members, it actually makes a difference. PMA I say. Positive Mental Attitude.
If like me, you do not fully understand Rugby… ask a Kiwi, yes we do have a Kiwi in the ranks. I found out that the position of hooker can be nasty. Not because you might get hurt in the middle of a lot of straining, shoving and pushing……. but because a Saturday night out might mean a combination of beer and curry! All I can say to that is YUK and double YUK! Chris you are doing a good job. Keep it up.
I could go on and on. But let me leave you with a thought. As you can see from this pic, Claire is serving Dick. And that’s good because Dick does an amazing job at the position of AGO – super.

Because I have access to this web log, I will take this opportunity in the name of all parents, to thank to all the coaching staff and supporting parents for doing such a grand job.
Merry Xmas and a happy new year to all.
Paul I.
P.S. Thanks to this Brilliant idea Dick and Claire raised, I think it was, £75 for the Tour!! - WELL DONE!
