April 1st - Shirts Raffle

I'll leave the playing stuff to Frazer but hope to be able to post some photos of what, from the sidelines seemed a very good competitive game. The teams ended up being quite well matched, in spite of the fright Chinnor gave us at the kick off. I know from the touch line their supporters were very complimentary about our team and their attitude and skill. Well done to all - a pleasure to watch.
On to the raffle - We estimated we would raise approx £600 from the Shirts raffle. Although the final count up needs to take place I estimate we have raised approximately £800 for the squad through the shirts raffle.
Special thanks to Richard Stewart whose efforts secured the London Irish shirt and ball and the Simon Durkin for the Wasps shirt and arranging the framing.

Also a mention for Dan Hampton, Cam Denton and Jack Blumenthal, who, one Sunday when we weren't playing, mugged the Minis parents for over £200 in ticket sales.

So who won:-

The draw, kindly done for us by Simon Cole, Director of Youth Rugby at Marlow pulled our very own Danny Avery first out of the hat (or bucket) to collect the Wasps shirt prize.

Second, and winner of the signed London Irish shirt was a name and initial, together with a phone number - which when rung turned out to be another of our own, Ross's dad - Steven Headington - though I wonder whose wall it will actually go on.....

Third, and here we need you to turn detective, was a Mike Cheeseman, who was obviously pressured into buying a ticket without putting a number on it.

Who sold him the ticket - was it you?

Please let me know and I'll arrange delivery of his prize - the signed London Irish ball.

Remember no rugby next Sunday - Easter - and, for some another week off, as the tour is the following weekend.
Pics of the match will follow soon.
